Job summary

Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust are seeking a Digital Training Officer to deliver digital training across organisations. The role encompasses e-learning, classroom, virtual learning and coaching for multiple clinical applications and the Microsoft Office suite at a basic–intermediate level.

The post holder will review existing courses, help maintain training records and contribute to the digital strategy.

Qualifications

• IT literate and practical experience of Windows software (Word, Excel, etc).
• Understanding of NHS data standards and NHS data items.
• Experience with incident and problem management.
• Awareness of equality and diversity issues in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive learning environment to promote staff skills development.
• Engage in one-to-one discussions with end users to assess needs, capability and achievement.
• Convey complex and technical matters clearly to end users.
• Contribute to the creation of lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments and end user guides.
• Set up training applications reflecting real life examples for facilitated learning.
• Be self-motivated, initiative-driven, and detail-focused.
• Utilise learning opportunities within and outside the workplace.
