JOB TITLE – Digital Trading Manager – B2B (12 Month FTC Maternity Cover)

REPORTS TO – Head of Digital Trading

LOCATION – Voysey House, London

DEPARTMENT – Digital

PURPOSE:

As a Digital Trading Manager, you will have operational and trading accountability for the performance of our Trade (B2B) ecommerce channel. This in-house role is responsible for driving the day-to-day performance of the Trade site, ensuring it operates efficiently and that commercial opportunities are capitalised upon through proactive, data-driven decision-making. The role oversees the digital shopfront for our B2B audiences, ensuring all product data, site merchandising, pricing, and promotions are accurate and compelling. You will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class end-to-end customer experience, ensuring our Trade customers — from independent retailers and interior designers to prime trade accounts — are delighted at every touchpoint. Success relies on seamless collaboration with merchandising, operations, product and design teams, brand and content, IT, and customer service, ensuring frictionless ecommerce operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Trading & Commercial Performance
  • Manage and optimise the trading calendar for the Trade ecommerce platform, working closely with key stakeholders (Merchandising, Sales, Marketing) to develop, deliver and optimise it.
  • Drive performance through daily/weekly trading analysis and implement actions to maximise revenue and margin.
  • Use trading and customer insight to inform product launch timing, content planning, and category performance strategy.
  • Deliver against ecommerce trading budgets in collaboration with Head of Digital Trading, in line with broader financial and commercial targets by market.
  • Own and execute on-site merchandising strategies and conversion optimisation, tailored to each Trade customer type — from independent retailers and interior designers to prime trade accounts.
  • Working with the Merchandising team, ensure accuracy of product data, pricing, and promotional set‑ups across the Trade storefront.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to continuously improve SEO, CRO, PPC, Paid Social and on‑site journey optimisation.
  • Lead on‑site testing and experimentation, using A/B and multivariate testing to optimise conversion and UX, working in close collaboration with our internal IT team and external partners.
Content & Promotional Planning
  • Own and execute content planning, management and deployment across the Trade storefront, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with trading priorities, brand messaging, and campaign timelines.
  • Plan, execute and review promotional activity, ensuring alignment with commercial goals and customer behaviour.
  • Develop and drive connected, omni‑channel commercial campaigns in collaboration with brand, merchandising and marketing.
  • Use segmentation and behavioural data to personalise content, promotions and merchandising across the Trade storefront.
CRM & Performance Marketing
  • Work with our internal CRM team to plan and brief email marketing for the B2B channel throughout the calendar year, ensuring alignment with key commercial events, brand moments and product launches.
  • Work with performance marketing partners on PPC and Paid Social to drive qualified trade traffic and acquisition.
Third‑party & agency management
  • Manage and coordinate third‑party agencies and partners supporting the Trade channel, holding them to clear performance standards, deliverables and SLAs.
  • Collaborate closely with our internal IT team and external agency partners on informing, prioritising and delivering the digital roadmap, including sales/commercial and omni‑channel requirements.
Cross‑Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with operations and customer service to ensure fulfilment and customer experience are frictionless.
  • Partner closely with merchandising and supply teams to understand stock levels and drive promotions based on commercial needs.
  • Work in close partnership with brand teams to ensure brand messaging is enhanced, coordinated and consistent across omni‑channel touchpoints.
  • Work closely with commercial, marketing, and finance teams to deliver against forecasts and trading plans.
  • Drive and continuously enhance the reporting structure, creating actionable insight deployable across multiple business teams, with a clear understanding of what "good" looks like.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform trading strategy and stay ahead of emerging opportunities.
  • Stay informed on innovations in digital trading, ecommerce, AI and customer experience.

KPI'S / MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Revenue and margin growth for the Trade site
  • Conversion rate by customer type
  • New customer conversion and sample‑to‑main conversion
