Job summary

Digital Gurus in London is seeking a Digital Trading Assistant to support day-to-day trading across ecommerce sites, improving the online customer journey and driving commercial KPIs.

You will monitor performance, manage merchandising, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced retail environment. This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid work with 2 days in the office and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in ecommerce, digital trading or online merchandising.
• Understanding of ecommerce trading principles and commercial KPIs.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with reporting tools, Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.
• Experience with ecommerce platforms and CMS tools.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics 4.
• Understanding of SEO and paid media channels.
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and time-management skills.
• The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, customer-focused and commercially minded approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor sales, revenue, conversion, traffic, AOV and stock availability.
• Manage online product merchandising including placement, categorisation and promotions.
• Ensure product information, pricing, imagery and stock accuracy.
• Support promotional campaigns, launches and seasonal trading activity.
• Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, Digital Marketing, CRM and paid media teams.
• Support homepage updates, onsite page builds and ecommerce content execution.
• Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify trading opportunities.
• Use analytics and reporting tools to make data-led recommendations.
• Support A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation.
• Contribute to SEO initiatives and regular trading reports.

Digital Trading Assistant | London Hybrid (2 days in office)

I’m currently recruiting for a Digital Trading Assistant on behalf of a growing, multi-site retail business with a significant ecommerce operation.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in ecommerce, digital trading or online merchandising who enjoys working in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.

The role:

You’ll support the day-to-day trading and merchandising activity across the company’s ecommerce websites, helping to improve the online customer journey and deliver key commercial KPIs.

Your responsibilities:

• Monitoring sales, revenue, conversion, traffic, average order value and product availability.
• Managing online product merchandising, including placement, categorisation, sorting and promotional visibility.
• Ensuring product information, pricing, imagery, descriptions and stock availability are accurate.
• Supporting promotional campaigns, product launches and seasonal trading activity.
• Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Digital Marketing, CRM, paid media and social teams.
• Supporting homepage updates, onsite page builds and ecommerce content execution.
• Conducting competitor and market analysis to identify trading opportunities.
• Using analytics and reporting tools to make data-led recommendations.
• Supporting A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation activity.
• Helping to deliver agreed SEO initiatives.
• Producing regular trading reports and performance updates for stakeholders.

You’ll ideally have:
