Job summary

Digital Gurus in London is seeking a Digital Trading Executive to support day-to-day trading and merchandising across the company’s ecommerce sites, aiming to improve the online customer journey and deliver key KPIs.

This permanent, full-time role offers a hybrid London office pattern (2 days in the office) and a collaborative environment with pension, employee discounts, long-service recognition and a cycle-to-work scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience in ecommerce, digital trading or online merchandising.
• Understanding of ecommerce trading principles and KPIs.
• Strong analytics and experience with reporting tools.
• Experience with ecommerce platforms and CMS tools.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics 4.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor sales, revenue, conversion, traffic and AOV.
• Manage online product merchandising including categorisation and promotions.
• Ensure product information, pricing, imagery and stock accuracy.
• Support campaigns, launches and seasonal trading activity.
• Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, Digital Marketing and CRM teams.
• Produce regular trading reports for stakeholders.
• Assist SEO initiatives and onsite content updates.
• Assist with A/B testing and CRO activities.
• Analyse data to identify trading opportunities.

Digital Trading Executive | London Hybrid (2 days in office)

I’m currently recruiting for a Digital Trading Executive on behalf of a growing, multi-site retail business with a significant ecommerce operation.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in ecommerce, digital trading or online merchandising who enjoys working in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.

The role:

You’ll support the day-to-day trading and merchandising activity across the company’s ecommerce websites, helping to improve the online customer journey and deliver key commercial KPIs.

Your responsibilities:

• Monitoring sales, revenue, conversion, traffic, average order value and product availability.
• Managing online product merchandising, including placement, categorisation, sorting and promotional visibility.
• Ensuring product information, pricing, imagery, descriptions and stock availability are accurate.
• Supporting promotional campaigns, product launches and seasonal trading activity.
• Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Digital Marketing, CRM, paid media and social teams.
• Supporting homepage updates, onsite page builds and ecommerce content execution.
• Conducting competitor and market analysis to identify trading opportunities.
• Using analytics and reporting tools to make data-led recommendations.
• Supporting A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation activity.
• Helping to deliver agreed SEO initiatives.
• Producing regular trading reports and performance updates for stakeholders.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in ecommerce, digital trading or online merchandising.
• An understanding of ecommerce trading principles and commercial KPIs.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with reporting tools, Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.
• Experience with ecommerce platforms and CMS tools.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics 4.
• An understanding of SEO and paid media channels.
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and time-management skills.
• The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, customer-focused and commercially minded approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
