Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Digital Telecommunications Manager to lead our telecom services across cloud and on‑prem platforms, working with suppliers, operations, and transformation teams. You will drive resilience, security, and performance for critical communications across our estate.

Based in Reading with a hybrid pattern, the role involves governance, budget management, supplier performance, and collaboration with senior stakeholders to deliver a modern telecom landscape.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing telecom service delivery in large enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with telecom suppliers, contracts and governance.
• Experience managing telecom operations, incidents and service improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with ITIL, Agile, Waterfall or Lean delivery methods.
• Ability to balance conflicting priorities in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and operation of Thames Water's digital telecom services across cloud and on‑premises.
• Manage supplier relationships and telecom service contracts.
• Act as primary escalation point for telecom faults, incidents and operational risks.
• Ensure telecom services are reliable, secure, and aligned with objectives.
• Lead service governance with reviews and supplier performance management.
• Provide regular operational and financial reporting to senior leadership.
