Job summary

Financial Ombudsman Service seeks a Systems Manager - Digital to own end-to-end technical ownership of external-facing digital platforms, including consumer and business portals and online complaint tools. You’ll set the technical roadmap, manage vendors, and lead a team to deliver secure, compliant, highly available services.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a technical SME for customer-facing web architecture and complex integrations.
• Experience managing third-party vendors or AMS partners to SLA commitments.
• Proven track record in leading and coaching technical staff to improve performance.
• Knowledge of web content management platforms and secure, scalable digital infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for digital platforms and portals.
• Oversee third-party vendors, ensuring governance and value for money.
• Collaborate with Digital Product Owners to prioritise backlog and balance debt.
• Ensure high availability of portals and online forms and maintain security standards.
• Line manage and develop a high-performing team of technical analysts.
