Job summary

St Monica Trust is offering an IT apprenticeship on a 15-month fixed-term contract working 35 hours per week, with a salary of £20,475 per annum. You will gain hands-on IT experience across a professional team, earning while you learn and achieving a Level 3 IT qualification.

You’ll support the delivery of reliable, secure IT services, assisting with setup, tickets, account administration and system maintenance while studying for your qualification.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or willingness to achieve the required Functional Skills as part of the apprenticeship)
  • An interest in IT and curiosity about technology with a willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to colleagues across the Trust
  • Assist with setup, configuration and maintenance of computers, mobile devices, software and printers
  • Support IT helpdesk by logging, updating and resolving tickets
  • Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot routine technical issues
  • Assist with user account administration and system access requests
  • Maintain accurate IT records and asset information
  • Follow cyber security, data protection and information governance requirements
  • Develop knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows devices and workplace technologies
  • Apply learning from apprenticeship qualification in real-world IT tasks
  • Collaborate with IT team to deliver excellent customer service
