Job summary

NHS England’s Digital Operations and Service Management (DOSM) sits within the Technology Digital and Data Directorate. The role focuses on ensuring reliable and available national digital and technology services to the NHS and social care system, coordinating complex operational activities across departments and organisations.

Colleagues are expected to spend about 40% of time in offices, with recruitment from outside the NHS usually at the bottom of the pay band.

Responsibilities

• Attending and contributing to stand-up meetings to discuss tasks, progress and issues
• Managing day-to-day tasks to support ongoing running of services including incident, problem, release, capacity and availability management
• Contributing to the creation and measurement of performance metrics for service improvements
• Engaging with stakeholders and managing relationships with service suppliers and customers
• Supporting the service manager with remedial work for service-related risks, issues, escalations and stakeholder engagement
• Improving relationships with end users to enhance understanding of services
• Participating in service improvement activity through short, sprint-based work
• Supporting the team in introducing services from design to lifecycle
