Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive the execution of ABB's digital sales strategy across the UK cluster, playing a pivotal role in boosting market presence and unlocking growth potential. You will champion innovative digital initiatives to deliver strong performance across key metrics — from revenue and margin to customer satisfaction and market share. As a key architect of ABB’s digital future, this role fuels the expansion of our digital customer base, spearheads direct sales to strategic digital clients, and accelerates the growth of our Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings.

The work model for the role is: remote.

This role contributes to the Energy Industries business, part of the Process Automation division.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Selling digital solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for Energy customers in the UK cluster, both existing and new customers.
  2. Identifying and developing new market opportunities in the designated market and promoting knowledge sharing and cross-collaboration.
  3. Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager.
  4. Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers are in place, including pricing and trading conditions.
  5. Organizing, staffing, and guiding the responsible area effectively.
  6. Proactively identifying and addressing performance shortfalls.
  7. Driving top-line growth.
  8. Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships, including with digital stakeholders, to understand and meet customer needs, and promote ABB’s comprehensive solutions.
Qualifications for the role
  1. Proven experience in digital sales, SaaS, or technology solutions, ideally within the Energy sector, with a focus on revenue growth, market share, and customer satisfaction.
  2. Strong understanding of commercial aspects, including pricing, trading conditions, and contract negotiations, with the ability to translate technical solutions into compelling business value.
  3. Successful track record in establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships, especially with digital stakeholders.
  4. Ability to identify and develop new market opportunities within the UK cluster, promoting ABB’s digital solutions.
  5. Experience in leading and motivating cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to achieving sales targets and ensuring growth and profitability.
