Proactive Global is recruiting a Technical Operator in Melksham, Wiltshire to join a successful manufacturing business. The role involves operating industry-leading digital print technology, setting up equipment, monitoring processes, and performing quality checks.

No prior operator experience is required as full training is provided to develop a long-term career in technical manufacturing. The position offers a salary of £35,500, Monday to Friday with 12-hour shifts, and a supportive team

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with machinery, production equipment or technical processes.
• Practical and mechanically minded approach.
• Good attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• Confidence following technical instructions and procedures.
• Ability to identify problems and think logically when resolving issues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.

• Flexibility to work 12-hour day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced digital print and production machinery.
• Set up and prepare equipment for production.
• Monitor machinery throughout the production process.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
• Identify and resolve basic technical and production issues.
• Make adjustments to machinery and settings as required.
• Follow production specifications and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised production area.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Develop technical knowledge of the print process and machinery.
