We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Designer to join our team in Manchester to help propel our marketing plans forward. This is a varied and fast paced role, the likes of which don’t come up often.

We’re proud to have over 100,000 properties in our portfolio, in 25 countries across Europe, giving our guests the choice of a fantastic range of properties and taking over 1.5 million bookings each year.

The Role

As our newest Digital Marketing Designer, you'll get the opportunity to work across our UK vacation rentals brands. We've got big things happening when it comes to our brand in 2025 and beyond, so you'll be joining us at a genuinely exciting time. You'll get the chance to work on multi-channel digital first campaigns to help drive direct bookings to our sites.

We know it sounds cliché, but it’s true when we say that no two days will be the same in this role. We’re looking for a creative thinker, who can produce pixel-perfect designs for our UK brands, with particular focus on cottages.com – it’s safe to say you won’t get bored! Your role will see you designing for a range of digital assets, including website, social, content, display banners, email – the list goes on. You’ll be expected to design to a high standard, showcasing the product range we have a supporting our brand ambitions and activation plans. Responsive design skills are key, particularly when it comes to mobile (although if you’re keen to learn, we have the experts in-house to help you). Equally important is your attitude; we’re looking for a brand advocate who lives and breathes design, strives for perfection, working closely with our brand managers to activate campaigns.

Key skills we need

We’re a team full of energy and with a passion for what we do, so it’s key that you’re enthusiastic, driven and keen to be part of a team. What else do you need in order to succeed in this role?

  • You’ll be adept at working with the full Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • We're looking for a profile with 2-4 years of experience in the field
  • Experience in delivering end to end digital campaigns, from initial concept, to design and final roll out across digital touchpoints.
  • An interest in emerging design trends, emerging technologies and Ai.
  • The ability to build close working relationships with the wider team
  • A “creative eye”; you know what looks good and what will resonate with our customer base
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and work on multiple projects.
  • Ideally, you’ll have designed for a consumer brand previously (if they’re in travel, even better!)
  • You’re passionate about travel and, in particular, UK holidays

Equally as important as all the technical “stuff”, we’re looking for someone who is hungry to learn. We don’t believe in standing still (we work in travel, after all), but instead think that everyone should be learning, all the time. Whether it’s a new design tool, an industry event or a mentoring opportunity, we will support you to grow your skillset.

What else do you need to know?

We want to make the application process as stress-free as possible, so typically we’ll have an informal chat with you on the phone, followed by a comprehensive interview over Teams, where you’ll have a chance to find out a bit more about the exciting things we’re doing (and maybe tell us what we’re doing wrong). We want to hear about your favourite (and least favourite) projects, what makes you tick and why. Then, we’d love to show you “our place” so would look to meet you for an informal session in our office.
