During this degree apprenticeship you will work across two departments within External Relations – Communications & Reputation and Student Recruitment and Marketing. You will learn to be responsible for online marketing and communications activities as directed by the line manager. Your role will work with a wide cross-section of staff across the wider University.
Learning to combine technical know-how with an understanding of the digital content required for our multiple audiences, you will ensure our digital content on our websites and social media are high quality, relevant and up-to-date. In this role you will learn to, whether solely or in collaboration with content stakeholders, develop, edit, and update content on external facing and Intranet websites. You will also learn to support and assist any staff who have some responsibility for web content (including academic staff) to write, edit and update their own content in accordance with the University’s content guidelines. You will learn to develop digital content (including video) and help deliver our digital marketing campaigns as directed and as deemed appropriate. The post holder will also learn to support on delivering virtual events through online platforms such as Zoom and email communications through our Customer Relationship Management system.
This role supports the digital marketing and communications for the University. You will learn to proactively devise and deliver activities and provide administrative support to the Communications & Reputation and Student Marketing teams. You will also learn to provide advice and support to colleagues and potential students through a range of methods. In order to flexibly use resource, you may be offered the opportunity to work elsewhere across the University.
