Job summary

Queen Mary University of London invites two Digital Learning Officers to support and enhance digital learning across the Faculty of Science and Engineering. You will work with a collaborative Digital Learning team, helping staff and students effectively use learning technologies and QMplus.

About the Role

We are seeking two enthusiastic and proactive Digital Learning Officers to join the Faculty of Science and Engineering at QMUL . Working as part of a collaborative Digital Learning team, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the use of digital technologies for learning, teaching and assessment across the Faculty.

You will provide high-quality support to academic staff, professional services colleagues and students, helping them make effective use of learning technologies including our virtual learning environment, QMplus. The role combines technical support, training, digital content development and service improvement to enhance teaching practices and the student learning experience.

Collaborating with colleagues across the University, including central IT and educational technology teams, to ensure a consistent and high-quality service is a key aspect of the role.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape digital education within a world-leading university while developing expertise in learning technologies and educational innovation.

About You

We are looking for passionate candidates about using technology to enhance education and who enjoy supporting others to develop digital skills. You will be a confident communicator with excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong customer-focused approach. With experience using virtual learning environments, you will have a strong understanding of technology-enhanced learning and experience developing training materials, setting up modules and supporting users with varying levels of digital confidence. You will be an excellent communicator, able to quickly learn new technologies, manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues. Experience in higher education and knowledge of learning technologies such as Echo360, Turnitin, and SharePoint would be advantageous.
