It's an exciting time to join the Learning and Development team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver, streamline, and automate our business processes and develop the capability of our people. We're seeking a creative Digital Learning Design Lead on a 12-month fixed term contract to develop engaging learning experiences as we grow and deepen the capabilities of our employees for today and tomorrow.

You'll work in collaboration with our Learning and Development Managers to define requirements and measures of success using data and insights to inform your approach to designing and developing learning. With a keen eye for design and deep understanding of adult learning principles, you'll craft visually compelling learning experiences that resonate with diverse audiences and align to our objectives.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home at your local office, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations in Tunbridge Wells, Bolton, Bristol, Glasgow or Birmingham visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

• Collaborate with Digital Learning Design Leads, Learning and Development Managers, and subject matter experts to design, develop, and launch new digital learning experiences and communication initiatives across AXA UK.
• You'll establish appropriate technology platforms, resource or course design, and instruction delivery options.
• Create internal buzz around all platforms to ensure employee engagement and enhance learning experience.
• Work with the Learning Experience team to curate and create content for learning hubs and the learning management system (LMS).
• Utilise a variety of authoring and design software and multimedia tools, you'll develop high-quality digital learning that follow brand guidelines.
• Identify new innovations in digital learning and provide recommendations and optimisations of existing programs.
• Ensure that any new digital learning and communication initiatives meet stakeholder requirements.
• Work occasionally with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to design and develop learning courses and campaigns.

What you'll bring:

• Knowledge and experience in using instructional design theories to deliver digital learning solutions and programmes.
• Well versed in using a range of content authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise, and other web-based authoring tools (familiar with SCORM / HTML5 publishing to LMS systems).
• Graphic design and video editing capabilities and experience using editing software such as the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience of designing, developing, and delivering companywide communications campaigns to engage employees in learning initiatives.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
• Design and deliver custom web pages, you'll have some HTML website and CMS design exposure.
• Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, prioritise workload and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Energy to work as a self-starter, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-sited team.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
