Job summary

The Growth Company in Manchester is seeking a Digital Executive to support national and international digital marketing campaigns, create engaging content, and manage websites, social media, and email activity. The role is hybrid, with at least one day per week at Lee House in Manchester.

Job description

The Growth Company's (GC) Marketing Manchester team has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Executive to join its digital team and support the delivery of digital marketing activity. The successful applicant will support the delivery of paid and organic marketing campaigns, create engaging content for multiple audiences, manage digital channels including websites, social media and email marketing, and use data and insights to help drive the ongoing development of Marketing Manchester's digital activity.

We work to raise the profile of the region through targeted marketing campaigns, major events, and strong partnerships. We support the visitor economy by attracting tourists and high-profile conferences, while collaborating with businesses and stakeholders to showcase the region's unique strengths and opportunities. Through everything we do, we aim to drive economic growth and enhance Manchester's global reputation.

This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of one day per week at Lee House, our Manchester office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and delivery of strategic national and international digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Create and edit engaging content and digital assets tailored to a range of audiences and platforms.
  • Manage and maintain digital channels, including websites, social media platforms and email marketing activity.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on digital performance data to inform future campaign development and optimise results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, partners and stakeholders to gather content, support campaign delivery and drive engagement.
  • Assist with the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of digital platforms and online services.
  • Support the development of revenue-generating opportunities through digital marketing activity.
  • Promote sustainable destination practices and ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Skills Required:
  • Experience supporting the delivery of digital marketing campaigns across paid and organic digital channels.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create informative and engaging content for different platforms.
  • Experience using content management systems, email marketing platforms and image editing software.
  • Proficient in using Google Analytics and other digital reporting tools to measure performance.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate requirements into effective digital activity.
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working in partnership with a range of organisations and stakeholders.
