Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Digital Engineering Technician for the Highways A66 NTP Scheme, based in Penrith, Cumbria. You will support the Digital Engineering Manager, create and maintain 3D models, and help implement project information management standards across the Common Data Environment.

You will coordinate with project teams and suppliers, perform model validation, and contribute to training materials while progressing your professional development within a leading UK highways

Qualifications

• Experience with Common Data Environment (CDE) and project information models.
• Familiar with ISO 19650 information management principles.
• Ability to create and maintain 3D models and associated outputs.
• Support for model coordination, clash detection and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain 3D models and outputs.
• Provide support for model coordination, clash detection and design reviews.
• Assist in implementing BEP/DEP and project digital engineering standards.
• Contribute to CDE setup, use and maintenance.
• Support project teams and supply chain in digital tools and workflows.
• Carry out basic model and data validation and quality checks.
• Assist in preparing 3D visualisations, reports and digital deliverables.
• Provide inputs to training/briefing materials.
• Support project information management lifecycle.
• Assist with project information requirements and standards.
• Undertake training and professional development.
