Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Digital Engineering Technician for the Penrith area to support the Highways A66 NTP Scheme. You will help deliver project requirements, maintain accurate information in the CDE, and develop Project Information Models as needed.

Responsibilities include creating 3D models, supporting coordination and design reviews, and helping implement the BEP/DEP. You will work within ISO 19650 frameworks and collaborate with project teams and supply chain partners.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work accurately and follow established processes and procedures.
  • Working knowledge or experience of Digital Engineering tools and workflows, CDE environments, survey and data collection methods, coordination processes (3D/IDC/IDR), Project Information Model development, common coding, Progressive Assurance and BIM Framework standards.
  • Awareness of 4D planning and model integration and 5D quantity extraction and cost integration.
  • Able to work independently on routine tasks and seek guidance where required.

  • Provide inputs to training and briefing materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Support the management and maintenance of project information throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with the implementation of project information requirements and Digital Engineering standards.
  • Undertake training and continuous professional development within the Digital Engineering function

About The Role

Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Engineering Technician to join our team on the Highways A66 NTP Scheme, this role will be based at Penrith, Cumbria

What you'll be doing

To support the Digital Engineering Manager in delivering project requirements, producing and maintaining accurate project information, and ensuring compliance with project Digital Engineering standards and procedures.
