The role in consultation with the Associate Director and Director will lead their teams to support the business in the delivery of its aims and objectives, and deliver creative, technical and innovative design solutions in building services.
The role will also provide line management support and will be responsible for technical design management as well as client relationships.

- Collaborates with all engineering staff to create, manage, and deliver a proactive approach to digital engineering
- Present technical and non-technical concepts using digital software
- Working to project deadlines, daily communication and supervisory support with the design team, and coordination with architectural and structural elements
- Manage and monitor quality of work projects
- Managing and acting on Client feedback
- Production of visual outputs including renders for inclusion in reports and best practice documents
- Work with Directors to develop QODA digital processes; procedures and training requirements.
- Manage the flow of MEP-related documentation (drawings, specifications, reports, etc.) between the project team, consultants, and contractors, often using client driven portals, i.e. Trimble, 4P, Aconex etc.
- Ensure all documents are filed correctly and accessible in a document control system.
- Maintain an updated log of incoming and outgoing documents.
- Review and verify the accuracy of documents before distribution.
- Apply document control procedures as per project and company standards.
- Coordinate with the MEP team to collect and distribute design revisions, shop drawings, as-built drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
- Track the status of documents submitted for review and approval.
- Ensure proper version control and prevent outdated information from being used.
- Support project audits by providing required documentation promptly.
- Train team members on document control processes when needed.
- Prepare periodic reports on documentation status for management.
Relevant experience and competence:
Knowledge
- Professional qualifications and membership – a degree in electrical, mechanical engineering, computer science or a related discipline Will be working towards a chartered professional qualification or may have achieved chartered membership status in an engineering, computer science or related discipline
- External clients – an understanding of expectations and project delivery
- Technical – technically astute in the field of digital engineering
