About the Role

Birkbeck’s corporate strategy (PDF) aims to “transform lives through inspiring teaching that is accessible and inclusive”. This involves ensuring that students can succeed through flexible high-quality teaching, combining inspirational campus experiences with online learning and support in a dynamic blend.

We have made rapid progress with our digital education strategy. All modules taught from 20/21 onwards have been designed using the new ‘Birkbeck Blend’ and built to a consistent quality. We are piloting new teaching models, tools, and approaches, providing opportunities for the postholder to get involved in various areas of the domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teaching and support staff and the central Digital Education team, primarily but not exclusively academic faculty-facing.
• Consult with staff on module design, develop learning materials, run workshops, manage projects, or design Moodle plugins.
• Be adaptable, communicative, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable of the field.

We offer a flexible working policy with modern offices in Bloomsbury. Residency in the UK and attendance on campus when necessary are expected.
