Introduction
We are seeking a freelance (or micro‑studio) web designer with proven experience in the education sector to join us for the design phase of a web development and design project—contingent on our bid being awarded.
This Request for Quotation (RFQ) outlines the scope, timeline and submission requirements. If you have crafted inclusive, accessible and engaging digital experiences for schools, colleges or multi‑academy trusts, we would love to review your portfolio and discuss a potential collaboration.
About Us
Flare builds custom safeguarding and wellbeing apps for schools, colleges and universities. We are now bidding to redesign a UK secondary school’s public‑facing website and are seeking an experienced freelance or micro‑studio Web / UI‑UX Designer who has demonstrable education‑sector work to partner with us for the design phase—contingent on our bid being awarded.
Scope of Work
Phase 2: Low fidelity wireframes (mobile & desktop wireframes (WCAG2.2AA‑ready)).
Phase 3: High fidelity protoypes (Figma prototype, reusable component library, typography & colour tokens)

Interview From: 12 May
Final Selection: 16 May
All shortlisted candidates will be invited to a single 30‑minute Zoom or Google Meet session to discuss your portfolio, approach and availability. No speculative or unpaid design work will be requested at this stage.
