Job summary

Bupa is hiring a Digital Designer in Brighton to craft engaging digital content across email, web, banners and social channels. You’ll join a collaborative Marketing & Digital team, ensuring brand consistency while adapting content for local needs.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup, 35 hours/week, with 2 days in the office, helping drive customer engagement, accessibility and immersive digital experiences that support business performance.

Qualifications

• A degree, qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant design discipline.
• Substantial experience in a digital design role, either in‑house or agency.
• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong experience using Figma.
• Good understanding of typography, colour, layout, photography and visual storytelling.
• Experience creating digital assets for email, web landing pages, HTML5 banners and social media.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Confidence building positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across teams.
• Proactive learning mindset and passion for great digital experiences.
• Beneficial: working knowledge of HTML and CSS and interpreting brand guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

As a Digital Designer, you'll:

• Create high-quality digital content across email marketing, website landing pages, digital banners and social media channels.


• Support the delivery of creative digital campaigns and business-as-usual content that helps drive customer engagement, growth and retention.


• Work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and provide creative input and recommendations.


• Use customer insights, data and analytics to inform design decisions and improve digital performance.


• Champion best practice in user experience (UX), user interface (UI) design and accessibility.


• Help maintain and protect Bupa's brand standards, making sure all digital content aligns with brand and regulatory requirements.


• Research new technologies, tools and design trends to bring fresh thinking and continuous improvement to the team.


• Support process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality and the overall customer experience.


• Contribute to onboarding and sharing knowledge with new team members when needed.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a talented Digital Designer who combines strong creative skills with a customer-focused mindset. You'll have:

• A degree, qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant design discipline.


• Substantial experience in a digital design role, either in-house or within an agency environment.


• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.


• Strong experience using Figma.


• A good understanding of typography, colour, layout, photography and visual storytelling.


• Experience creating digital assets for email, web landing pages, HTML5 banners and social media.


• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to agreed deadlines.


• Strong attention to detail and excellent written and spoken English.


• Confidence building positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across different teams.


• A proactive approach, curiosity to keep learning and a passion for creating great digital experiences.


• It would be beneficial if you also have working knowledge of HTML and CSS, along with experience interpreting detailed creative briefs and brand guidelines.
