Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Derby is seeking a Digital Design and Industrialisation Capability Lead to join the ET&S Structures and Installations team. This full-time, permanent role provides leadership across engineering resources and supports capability development for Product Definition, Digital Design Automation, Additive, and Composite Design.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
• Demonstrates sound engineering judgement and knowledge of the Sector Customers and Programmes.
• Demonstrates effective leadership & engineering skills.
• Capable of building high performing teams and effecting a positive shift in attitudes and behaviours.
• Understanding of Company Quality policies and processes deployed within the resource group.
• Experienced in applying process improvement techniques and driving business improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the Engineering resource group and ensure process compliance throughout the life cycle.
• Lead load/capacity planning for the Digital Design and Industrialisation and work with the wider function to ensure suitable and capable people are available to complete programme deliverables.
• Allocate staff to agreed work packages and lead the delivery and approval of technical activities within their functional accountability.
• Lead and drive efficiency through process review, teamwork and implementing continuous improvement and operational best practice within the field of work.
• Lead the digital transformation and work with Senior Specialists to see your team deliver capability development work and programme deliverables supporting Product Definition, Digital Design Automation, Additive, and Composite Design.
