Job summary

Ssq, West Sussex-based multinational, is seeking an in-house Legal Counsel to support a large UK business with a strong digital and data agenda. The role has a broad commercial remit focusing on digital products, data, IT and privacy.

You will be a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders on complex, business-critical issues and gain exposure to UK and EU regulatory frameworks in a fast-moving environment. Lead legal input on major projects and initiatives while coordinating with global legal

Qualifications

UK-qualified solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (England & Wales).
3+ years of post-qualification experience in law firm or in-house.
Strong experience in digital, IT and data protection/privacy law.
Background in a regulated industry (life sciences, healthcare, technology, financial services) preferred.

Responsibilities

Advise on digital, data protection, privacy and technology matters across the business.
Draft, review and negotiate commercial and technology contracts.
Act as legal lead for digital and data-driven projects.
Monitor regulatory developments and assess business impact.
Manage disputes and litigation within remit.
Coordinate with global legal and compliance stakeholders.
Ensure activities align with laws, regulations and ethical standards.
