Job summary

Ssq, West Sussex-based multinational, is seeking an in-house Legal Counsel to support a large UK business with a strong digital and data agenda. The role has a broad commercial remit focusing on digital products, data, IT and privacy.

You will be a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders on complex, business-critical issues and gain exposure to UK and EU regulatory frameworks in a fast-moving environment. Lead legal input on major projects and initiatives while coordinating with global legal

Qualifications

• UK-qualified solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (England & Wales).
• 3+ years of post-qualification experience in law firm or in-house.
• Strong experience in digital, IT and data protection/privacy law.
• Background in a regulated industry (life sciences, healthcare, technology, financial services) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise on digital, data protection, privacy and technology matters across the business.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial and technology contracts.
• Act as legal lead for digital and data-driven projects.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess business impact.
• Manage disputes and litigation within remit.
