Job summary

Office Angels Limited in Chelmsford, Essex is looking for a Digital Content & Social Media Executive to own the company’s social channels and content from concept to publication. You’ll collaborate with the Marketing Manager and external partners, turning complex topics into engaging stories and visuals across LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.

From writing copy to shooting and editing video, you’ll plan a content calendar, monitor engagement, and use analytics to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience creating content for social platforms.
• Hands-on experience shooting and editing video.
• Able to create artwork and visual assets.
• Comfortable using platform analytics (Meta and TikTok).
• Proficient in Premiere Pro, CapCut, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Canva.

• Understands content needs audience and purpose.

Digital Content & Social Media Executive
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Chelmsford, Essex
Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Working alongside the Marketing Manager and Marketing Campaign Executive, as well as a network of specialist creative and digital partners, you'll take ownership of the company's social media channels and the content that brings their brand to life - from coming up with the idea, to writing the copy, creating the artwork, shooting the video and seeing how it performs.

My client is looking for someone who can spot a good story, turn a complicated topic into something people want to read or watch, and create content that feels right for the platform it's on.

Duties:

• Own the company social media content from idea through to publication, creating content that is useful, engaging and relevant to each platform, with a particular focus on LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.
• Come up with ideas, spotting opportunities, trends, stories and conversations that the company can credibly join.
• Write compelling copy that sounds like the business and makes commercial motor insurance easier to understand.
• Create engaging visual content, including graphics, carousels, reels, short-form video and other social-first formats.
• Shoot and edit video, from quick pieces of reactive content through to more considered long-form and campaign content.
• Capture content at the offices, events and shoots, making sure you're getting the most from the people and opportunities around you.
• Plan and manage the social content calendar, ensuring you have a consistent flow of relevant content across the channels.
• Own the social communities, monitoring comments and messages, responding where appropriate and looking for opportunities to grow meaningful engagement.
• Use social analytics to understand what's working, reporting on performance and using those insights to continually improve the content.
• Stay ahead of social trends, formats and platform developments.
• Work with colleagues and subject matter experts across the business to turn their knowledge into content that brokers and policyholders can easily understand and engage with.
• Create and maintain design templates and digital assets to keep our content consistent and recognisable.
• Support the Marketing Manager and wider team with occasional creative, campaign and marketing tasks.

The ideal candidate:

• Previous experience creating content for social platforms, either in an agency, brand, or creator environment.
• You'll have hands-on experience shooting and editing video for both short and long-form formats.
• You'll be comfortable creating artwork and visual assets yourself with a sharp eye for detail.
• You'll be confident using platform analytics, particularly Meta and TikTok and able to turn performance data into useful recommendations for future content.
• Proficiency with tools such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & Canva.
• You're curious. You ask questions. You can take a technical subject and find the interesting bit.
• You're a strong copywriter, able to adapt your tone and approach depending on the audience and platform.
• You understand that good social content isn't simply about making something look nice, it needs a reason to exist, a clear audience and an idea behind it.
