Job summary

Bluetree Recruits is partnering with a highly successful digital and creative agency to recruit a confident, delivery-focused Social Media Executive. You will own social activity across client portfolios, staying hands-on with content while shaping plans and interpreting performance.

You will craft social-first content for multiple platforms, brief designers, lead client conversations, and turn data into actionable insights. Hybrid role with development support and a friendly, ambitious team.

Qualifications

• Around three years' social media or digital marketing experience, ideally in an agency or multi-client environment.
• An excellent copywriter with confidence presenting ideas, plans and results to clients.
• Experience using performance data to inform recommendations and planning social-first content shoots.
• Strong knowledge of Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and YouTube, and tools like Hootsuite, Sprout Social and Meta Business Suite.

Responsibilities

• Own social planning and delivery across accounts from ideation to publishing on multiple platforms.
• Write and review standout copy, flexing tone across brands and audiences.
• Brief designers and videographers, plan and capture social-first content on shoots and events.
• Be the day-to-day client contact, leading conversations on plans, performance and recommendations.

Job description

Our client is a highly successful digital and creative agency, and they are recruiting a confident, delivery-focused Social Media Executive to take real ownership of social activity across a portfolio of client accounts. You'll stay hands-on with content, but with the freedom to shape plans, spot opportunities, interpret performance and make recommendations, not just deliver against a brief.

As well as experience managing brand accounts and creating content this role needs a genuine understanding of social-first content and how to make it work on each platform. They are looking for someone who creates content specifically for social, rather than adapting a single graphic across different channels. That means knowing the fundamentals inside out, including:

• Designing with safe zones in mind, so text and imagery aren't obscured by platform interfaces
• Understanding what works visually and creatively on each platform
• Knowing when branding or logos add to a post, and when they get in the way
• Recognising that audiences can spot AI-generated content, and creating work that feels authentic

Extensive strategic experience isn't essential. What matters most is a strong grasp of social-first creative, platform requirements and day-to-day best practice, along with the enthusiasm to learn and grow within a supportive team.

THE ROLE

• Own social planning and delivery across your accounts, from ideation to publishing, on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and YouTube
• Write and review standout copy, flexing tone confidently across brands, audiences and sectors
• Brief designers and videographers, and plan and capture social-first content on shoots and at live events
• Be the trusted day-to-day contact for clients, leading conversations on plans, performance and recommendations
• Own reporting and turn data into insight: look beyond engagement figures to explain why it matters and what to do next
• Help shape client strategy alongside the Head of Social, bringing fresh ideas, trends and platform developments
• Manage community and brand reputation with sound judgement, and support and guide junior team members

ABOUT YOU

• Around three years' social media or digital marketing experience, ideally in an agency or multi-client environment
• A genuine eye for social-first creative, with a solid understanding of platform requirements and best practice
• An excellent copywriter, confident presenting ideas, plans and results to clients
• Experienced in using performance data to make meaningful recommendations, and in planning social-first content shoots
• Strong knowledge of Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and YouTube, plus tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social and Meta Business Suite
• Organised, commercially aware and calm under competing deadlines, with good judgement on when to escal
• Genuinely curious about social media, technology, AI and audience behaviour
