Job summary

University of York is seeking a Content Developer in the Media and Research Communications team to write, design, edit and distribute content across York’s owned channels. You will ensure content is informative, accurate and tailored to different audiences with a focus on research communications.

You will work closely with other teams to highlight advances in research, grants and appointments, and refresh web pages to communicate York's strengths clearly.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop multi-channel content with clear objectives.
• Ability to present complex information accessibly for diverse audiences.
• Strong writing and proofreading skills for web and print.
• Experience with web accessibility practices for content creation.
• Experience with website CMS and managing content development projects.
• Ability to select and optimise imagery to support research communications.
• Experience producing or commissioning video/audio content for web and social channels.
• Understanding of reputation management in research funding environments.
