The British Heart Foundation is seeking a Digital Content Manager to lead a team of five Content Designers, setting priorities and standards for accessible, effective digital content. You will manage the pipeline, balance capacity and demand, and ensure delivery to SLAs while coaching the team for continuous improvement.
You’ll work across digital, product, UX, SEO, data and customer journey teams to improve content practice, drive strategy and enable better user experiences across channels.

About the role
As Digital Content Manager, you’ll lead and develop a team of five Content Designers, setting priorities, standards and ways of working that turn organisational goals into accessible, effective digital content. You’ll manage the team’s pipeline, balance capacity and demand, ensure delivery to agreed SLAs, while fostering a supportive culture of coaching and continuous improvement.
Working at the centre of several key strategic initiatives, you’ll play a leading role in the delivery of BHF’s Content Review Cycle and upcoming CMS migration programme. Balancing operational leadership with longer‑term planning, you’ll help prioritise activity, improve content performance and ensure resources are focused where they can create the greatest value for users and the organisation.
As BHF’s content champion, you’ll work with digital, product, technology, UX, SEO, data and customer journey teams to improve content practice, shape digital direction and build sustainable delivery across the organisation. Your leadership will help more people access vital information and support, enabling the British Heart Foundation to save and improve lives.

Working arrangements
This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week in our London office. This may vary from time to time so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.
The interview process will consist of two stages. We are planning first stage interviews will be held over MS Teams on 24th and 25th Sep 2026 . For those successful, there will be second stage interviews in-person at our London Office (NW1 7AW) on 7th Oct 206.
