We’re a digital content team in the Group Marketing function at Barclays responsible for all of our group digital channels, including our website home.barclays, X, and LinkedIn. We aim to expand our reach by opening new channels and delivering top-tier digital content.

This creative role will lead the ideation, creation, and editing of content for our external digital channels. You will collaborate with a team of digital channel experts to maximize content impact.

Our ideal candidate has proven experience in planning and executing narrative-based digital content. We seek a highly creative individual passionate about storytelling through inspiring visuals, with strong photography and editing skills. A social media native with a track record of producing engaging digital content is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpreting briefs to understand business needs.
• Generating new content ideas in collaboration with the Head of Digital Content.
• Planning and executing photo and video shoots across the UK.
• Editing and preparing content for posting according to the content calendar.
• Supporting teammates with quick turnaround requests and tight deadlines while maintaining a proactive attitude.

Essential Skills/Qualifications

• Experience conducting quality portrait and event photoshoots.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Ability to follow market trends and innovate in digital content creation.
• Willingness to travel within the UK.
• Experience working with various types of imagery, including photography and short videos.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications

• Understanding of social media content strategies and what resonates with audiences.
