Job summary

Halfords Group PLC is seeking a highly organised Digital Asset Executive to own the DAM ecosystem and govern asset governance across the business. You will enable brand and marketing teams by ensuring assets are discoverable, properly tagged, and rights-managed.

The role requires expert DAM knowledge, strong metadata skills and experience with multimedia formats. Hybrid work is available with a Redditch-based Support Centre.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Digital Asset Management or content operations.
• Strong understanding of metadata, tagging and taxonomy.
• Experience handling video, photography and design files.
• Comfortable coordinating with editors, photographers and agencies.
• Solid knowledge of licensing and usage rights.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the DAM platform, ensuring structure, scalability and usability.
• Develop and maintain taxonomy, tagging and metadata standards to maximise discoverability.
• Ingest, catalogue and organise all incoming assets (video, photos, files).
• Oversee version control, archiving and long-term storage best practices.
• Maintain records of licensing, usage rights and permissions.
• Enforce governance to protect asset library integrity and compliance.
