Job summary

University of Oxford is seeking a detail-oriented data entry professional to join the Imaging Services team in the Bodleian Libraries. The role involves ingesting digital content into Portfolio, auditing image metadata, and performing image renaming or processing as needed.

You'll work with images of rare books, maps and archival material, using workflow tools to populate the DAM with accurate metadata. The post is fixed-term for 18 months, part-time at 21 hours per week, with days to be agreed.

Qualifications

• Experience entering, updating and managing data with consistent formatting and classification rules.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly for accurate data entry.
• Ability to learn specialist software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Ingest digital content into Portfolio, the DAM system.
• Audit and assess images and their metadata.
• Perform image renaming or processing as needed.
• Use digitisation workflow tools to ingest images and metadata into the repository.
