Job summary

Bodleian Libraries Imaging Services at Weston Library, Oxford, is seeking a 21-hour-per-week assisstant to support digitisation workflows. The role involves ingesting digital content into Portfolio, auditing image metadata, and performing image renaming and processing tasks for archival materials.

The post is fixed-term for 18 months and focuses on accuracy, data management, and efficient handling of digital assets for local and international users.

Qualifications

• Highly computer literate with ability to learn specialist software quickly.
• Experience entering, updating and managing data with consistent formatting and classification rules.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly in accurate and efficient data entry.

Responsibilities

• Ingest digital content created by Imaging Services into Portfolio, the DAM system.
• Audit and assess images and their technical metadata.
• Perform image renaming or processing as required.
• Use digitisation workflow tools to ingest images and metadata into the repository.
