As a result of our continued growth and ongoing success, we are seeking a dynamic Digital Analyst to be based at our London Great Portland Street Office.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Digital Analyst to strengthen our in‑house digital analytics capability across CDS Superstores. Reporting to the Group Digital Analytics Manager, this role will work across ecommerce, digital, marketing, product and technology teams to turn customer and commercial data into clear, actionable insight.
This is a hands‑on role requiring hands‑on experience in GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google BigQuery and Google Data Studio. You will help ensure that our digital data is accurate, accessible, and commercially useful, while working closely with specialist agency partners. As digital analytics evolves, you will also help us apply AI within analytics to accelerate analysis, identify opportunities, and improve decision‑making.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for Google Analytics 4 (GA4) across the Group.
- Own and continuously improve digital KPI reporting, configuration and ecommerce measurement across our websites.
- Analyse customer journeys, digital behaviour, conversion funnels and ecommerce performance to identify commercial opportunities.
- Use GTM to support tagging, event tracking, and measurement requirements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance site tracking & improve data quality & completeness across the customer journey
- Work with development, e‑commerce and agency teams to ensure tracking is implemented accurately and consistently.
- Support the ongoing development and governance of our digital analytics data layer.
- Use Google BigQuery to interrogate large datasets and undertake deeper customer and behavioural analysis.
- Develop and maintain high‑quality Data Studio dashboards, making performance information accessible to stakeholders across the business.
- Combine digital, ecommerce, marketing and trading data to provide a more complete view of performance.
- Identify changes and anomalies in digital performance and proactively investigate their causes.
- Support conversion‑rate optimisation and experimentation through robust measurement and analysis.
- Establish strong data‑quality controls and identify tracking or reporting issues quickly.
- Work closely with Ecommerce, Marketing, Digital Product, Tech, UX and Trading teams.
- Help increase analytics capability and data literacy across CDS Superstores
- Support the Group Digital Analytics Manager in delivering the wider digital measurement and analytics roadmap.

Skills & Experience:
- Significant hands‑on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), with advanced knowledge of ecommerce measurement and reporting.
- Strong practical experience with Google Tag Manager, including events, tags, triggers, variables and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience using Google BigQuery for digital and ecommerce analysis.
- Strong SQL skills and the ability to query and manipulate large datasets.
- Advanced Data/Looker Studio skills, including dashboard development and trade reporting.
- Experience with Fivetran or similar data integration / ELT platforms.
- Experience using dev tools to debug & troubleshoot site tracking & pixel implementation
- Strong understanding of digital measurement, tagging, data layers and tracking implementation.
- Ability to translate complex analysis into simple, commercially relevant recommendations.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and teams across multiple business functions.
- Ability to work across multiple brands, websites, apps and competing priorities.
- Experience using GA4 data exported into BigQuery.
- Experience combining web & app data with transactional, customer, marketing or CRM data.
- Previous experience working within ecommerce, with a strong understanding of ecommerce customer journeys across web & app and commercial KPIs.
- Experience working with APIs, automated data pipelines or cloud data environments such as Google BiqQuery or similar.
- Practical experience using AI within an analytics environment, including generative AI, AI‑assisted querying, automated analysis or insight generation.
- Experience of ecommerce website replatforming or major digital transformation programmes would be advantageous.
