Location/Division Specific Information

The Fisher Scientific Channel connects business and science as a comprehensive source for laboratory equipment, chemicals, instruments, life sciences reagents, and consumable supplies.

This position is remote and can be based in any of the 18 countries where we operate in Europe. Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English are required. You will work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.

The Digital Account Manager is responsible for growing the low-revenue customer base in Spain. You will join a new team of Digital Account Managers and interns to drive growth across Europe.

What will be your day job?
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow sales within your territory while encouraging customers to self-serve on our website.
  • Contact high-potential customers via phone, video call, and social media to drive revenue:
    • Understand customer needs, assess sales potential, and determine support levels.
    • Tailor messaging based on industry challenges, business objectives, or initiatives.
    • Demonstrate website usage for ordering and support.
    • Build a network of customer contacts for marketing.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to prioritize customer outreach based on growth potential and cost to serve.
  • Transfer high-potential customers needing regular support to our Inside and Field Sales teams, coordinating with them to maintain momentum.
  • Onboard and support new customers’ eCommerce experience from the start.
  • Pilot new sales tactics, such as using LinkedIn for prospecting, and work as a team to improve approaches.
  • Assist the eBusiness team in identifying and resolving customer experience issues on our website.
  • Maintain a sales pipeline in Salesforce to meet or exceed sales targets and manage pricing to maximize profitability.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Science or Business.
Experience
  • Experience interacting with customers to understand and solve problems.
  • Experience building and maintaining key relationships.
  • Persistence and resilience in overcoming barriers.
  • Sales or Customer Service experience is beneficial.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Self-directed and goal-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Comfortable approaching new contacts and handling rejection.
  • Digital mindset, with knowledge of social media for outreach.
  • Self-awareness and adaptability.
  • Entrepreneurial approach, willing to try new techniques.
  • Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Salesforce (SFDC) preferred.
  • Willing to travel across Europe (up to 10%) for meetings.
