Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Dietitian (Band 5 or soon to qualify) to join an expanding team. You will manage a caseload of patients with diverse and complex dietary needs, and develop holistic care plans.

The role emphasises multidisciplinary teamwork, dietetic pathways, and education, with opportunities to shape future service provision and to contribute to high-quality patient care within our Trust.

Qualifications

• Soon-to-qualify Dietitian or Band 5 ready to gain experience.
• Motivated, enthusiastic with excellent communication and teamwork.
• Willing to develop holistic care plans addressing nutrition, lifestyle and behaviour change.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Manage a designated caseload of patients who may have divers and complex dietetic needs.
• Develop individualised holistic care plans which addresses nutritional status, weight, recommended dietary modifications, lifestyle factors, behaviour change, education, physical activity and where appropriate condition management.
• Support patient care through implementation of dietetic care pathways.
• Act as source of expertise in nutrition for medical staff, nursing staff and other healthcare professional.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals within and outside the Trust
