Job overview

You will be supported by a large department of Dietitians, Dietetic Assistants, Diet Service Technicians and supervisors.

We require a dedicated and motivated individual with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and approachable disposition. All necessary training is provided.

The post will require working 13 hours (2x 6.5hr shifts) per week.

Main duties of the job

This position is responsible for accurately preparing specialist milk feeds in the Special Feeds Unit and therapeutic meals in the Diet Kitchen for children admitted to hospital.

  • SVQ/NVQ level 1, Level 1 vocational awards in hospitality and catering
Experience/Knowledge
  • Food Safety Level 2
  • Previous experience in busy customer service-related environment
  • Good understanding of health & safety at work
Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to detail
  • Be able to lift (up to 6-8Kg), bend, twist, kneel and crouch
  • Ability to work standing for 7-8hr shift.
