Job summary

Pharos Generator Services, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a Generator Engineer to join its South East UK team. The role covers maintenance, installation, diagnosis, repair and testing of diesel generators, switchgear, and control systems across client sites.

Based in Southampton/South London area, the position is full-time and permanent. You will work on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, call-outs on a rota, site visits, and project spares planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in Generator Engineering of at least 5 years.
• Mechanical diagnostic experience.
• Qualified Mechanical Engineer or similar.
• Skilled in technical report writing with acute attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance.
• Carrying out diagnostic, testing, and remedial works on generators and associated equipment.
• Providing call-out cover for generator breakdowns on a rota system.
• Carrying out client site visits.
• Projecting spares requirements for upcoming and planned works.
