Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in the South West region seeks an experienced Diesel Generator Engineer to service, maintain, and repair a range of generators. The role covers workshop work and occasional customer site visits, with a hands-on approach to fault-finding on large diesel engines.

You will work Monday to Friday with an on-call rota, driving a company vehicle and complying with health and safety standards. A strong mechanical background and UK driving licence are essential for this full-time role.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel engines is essential.
• Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing generators or similar equipment is advantageous.
• Apprenticeship-trained engineers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on generators within the rental fleet.
• Follow manufacturer service schedules and maintenance requirements.
• Diagnose and repair faults on customer equipment in workshop and on-site.
• Work on large diesel engines from brands such as Perkins and Cummins.
• Assist with general yard duties and operate forklift when required.
• Deliver and collect generators and equipment using company vehicles.
• Attend customer sites to service, maintain and repair equipment.
