Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a Regional Pump Engineer to service, maintain and repair a fleet of dewatering and sewerage pump equipment across customer sites. You will travel to sites from the Tewkesbury depot to diagnose faults, perform repairs and ensure equipment is ready when customers need it.

Your role supports a high-performing regional team and strong customer service. The ideal candidate has proven pump engineering or mechanical fitter experience, knowledge of diesel engines and generators, and

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a pump engineer/mechanical fitter or similar role.
• Ideally experience within plant or hire industry.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hoses or generators is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
• A customer-focused approach and team player mindset.
• A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Travel across customer sites to service and repair pump equipment.
• Identify faults and damage to pumps, hoses and generators.
• Accurately update service records and logs.

About the Role

GAP Pump Services provides advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for dewatering and sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions. As a Regional Pump Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the success of the region by ensuring that our customers can hire what they want, when they need it through the efficient servicing and maintaining a variety of pump services equipment within the GAP fleet. As part of our high-performing regional team, you will be responsible for traveling across our customer sites to identify and repair any faults or damage to equipment including pumps, hoses and generators, whilst accurately updating service records. Please note the position will be based out of our depot in Tewkesbury and therefore candidates should be suitably located.

About You

• Proven experience as a pump engineer/mechanical fitter or similar role
• Ideally have experience within the plant or hire industry would be highly beneficial
• Sound and current knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hoses or generators is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
• A customer-focused approach, workload and committed team player
• A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential
