Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a Regional Pump Engineer to service and repair dewatering and sewerage pump equipment across customer sites. You will travel to sites from a depot based in Tewkesbury, ensuring equipment operates reliably and faults are resolved promptly.

The role requires experience with pumps, hoses, diesel engines and generators, with a focus on accuracy, customer service and working well under pressure. A driving licence is preferred but not essential.

• Proven experience as a pump engineer or mechanical fitter.

About the Role

GAP Pump Services provides advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for dewatering and sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions. As a Regional Pump Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the success of the region by ensuring that our customers can hire what they want, when they need it through the efficient servicing and maintaining a variety of pump services equipment within the GAP fleet. As part of our high-performing regional team, you will be responsible for traveling across our customer sites to identify and repair any faults or damage to equipment including pumps, hoses and generators, whilst accurately updating service records. Please note the position will be based out of our depot in Tewkesbury and therefore candidates should be suitably located.

About You

• Proven experience as a pump engineer/mechanical fitter or similar role
• Ideally have experience within the plant or hire industry would be highly beneficial
• Sound and current knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hoses or generators is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
• A customer-focused approach, workload and committed team player
• A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential
