Signet Jewelers Ltd in the UK is seeking a Junior Buyer to own diamond product ranges, working with Merchandise Planning and Sourcing to build commercial, customer-driven collections that hit sales, margin, and stock targets.

You’ll collaborate with US teams, negotiate with suppliers, manage the product lifecycle across retail and ecommerce, and mentor a Buying Admin report, while staying compliant with regulations and Go to Market processes.

Qualifications

• Proven success as a Junior Buyer or Senior Assistant Buyer within a multi-site retail environment.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills - you're comfortable with numbers and data.
• A sharp eye for trends, especially in jewellery or accessories.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience building effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Organised, proactive, and confident juggling multiple projects at once.
• Previous experience in jewellery buying or knowledge of the category is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver seasonal and annual strategies for your category.
• Build and trade ranges based on customer insight, market trends, and performance data.
• Work with suppliers to source and develop new product - ensuring quality, cost, and compliance are met.
• Plan and execute promotions to drive traffic and margin, aligned with our brand identity.
• Collaborate with marketing, visual merchandising, and retail teams to bring your ranges to life in-store and online.
• Manage and mentor at least one direct report within the Buying Admin team.
• Stay on top of product performance, taking action to optimise sell-through and minimise terminal stock.
• Ensure full adherence to the Go to Market process and relevant legislation, including the Competition Act, Bribery Act, and Kimberley Process.
