Signet Jewelers (H. Samuel & Ernest Jones) is seeking a proactive Buying professional to help shape our Diamond assortment in the UK. Working with the Buyer, you’ll support end-to-end product development, analyse performance, and bring to life collections that feel fresh and commercially strong.

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, leveraging data and trends to inform range planning, supplier negotiations, and launches while coaching the Buyer’s Administrator to develop their skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Buyer or Senior Buyer's Administrator ready for the next step.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent Excel capability.
• Great organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• A collaborative, proactive, and commercially focused mindset.
• Experience in supplier negotiation and an eye for detail and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing, development and selection of products in line with the department strategy.
• Review sales and product performance to identify opportunities that drive sales and profitability.
• Prepare product information and analysis for range reviews, sign-offs, and business presentations.
• Managing product samples and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, attending meetings, and supporting negotiations.
• Conducting competitive shops and preparing analysis on market and trend insights.
• Supporting product launches and promotional activity, ensuring accurate information reaches stores and internal teams.
• Supervising and coaching the Buyer’s Administrator, helping to develop their skills and knowledge.
