Job summary

DaVita UK delivers life-saving kidney care to patients across England & Wales, seeking a proactive assistant to support the registered dialysis nurse and provide care within competence, under supervision.

You will prepare patients for dialysis, monitor vital signs, connect machines, collect samples, document care and uphold infection control in a multiprofessional environment. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Healthcare-specific experience required.
• Experience in a haemodialysis unit.
• Knowledge of caring for renal/dialysis patients.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for dialysis treatment and monitor vital signs.
• Assist in connecting the patient to the dialysis machine and commence treatment.
• Obtain blood samples and monitor patient condition during dialysis.
• Document all actions and maintain infection control procedures.
• Report concerns to a registered nurse and escalate as needed.
