Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 2 Dialysis Assistant/Housekeeper to support the haemodialysis unit in a busy clinic environment, working alongside nursing staff and health colleagues.

The role requires clear communication, a commitment to patient dignity and confidentiality, and the ability to follow instructions while maintaining NHS standards. It is a full-time, permanent post with shifts across days, late duties, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or Equivalent required.
• Completion of the Care Certificate.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or care setting is desirable.
• Experience working as a healthcare assistant is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, non-clinical information to patients and visitors.
• Report concerns, distress or safety issues promptly to the clinical team.
• Record cleaning activities, waste disposal and stock updates accurately.
