Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician for a well-established garage near Oldham. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicles with emphasis on fault finding and electrical/electronic systems, including EV components.

The successful candidate will join a stable, family-run business with opportunities for training and career development. The position offers a basic salary in the £32,000–£34,000 range, with additional bonus potential

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician or equivalent role.
• ideally Level 3 automotive qualifications or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of vehicles.
• Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults and determine repair methods.
• Completing vehicle inspections, fault-finding procedures and component testing.
• Working with modern vehicle systems, including EV tech.
• Carrying out repairs efficiently while maintaining high workmanship and health & safety standards.
• Supporting other workshop technicians and sharing knowledge.
• Carrying out MOT testing where qualified and required.
