Job summary

Britannia MOT and Repair Centre Ltd is seeking a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join our team in the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform maintenance and repairs, and ensure high standards of workmanship in a busy workshop environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, a Level 3 qualification (with EV/Hybrid specialty), and a passion for continuous learning. Opportunities for Level 4 EV training are available as part of career development.

Qualifications

• Qualified to at least Level 3 in vehicle work.
• Level 3 EV/Hybrid qualification required; Level 4 EV training available.
• 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Job description

We are an award-winning independent Garage & MOT station based in Aylesford Kent. Due to expansion, we are seeking to recruit a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join our team.

• Carrying out vehicle diagnostic investigations
• Identifying and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Completing maintenance and repair work following diagnosis
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Working in accordance with company health and safety procedures
• Ensuring work and time spent is completed & recorded accurately and efficiently

Preferably from an independent workshop background, you must be qualified to at least Level 3 and hold a minimum of a Level 3 EV/Hybrid qualification. Further training to the Level 4 EV qualification is possible as part of ongoing opportunities within our team. You must have a proven track record with at least 5+ years' experience, pay excellent attention to detail and have solid problem-solving skills. You must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, in a busy environment.
