Job summary

Vindis Group, operating Northampton Audi, is seeking a motivated Diagnostic Technician to join the Aftersales Team. You will diagnose and repair vehicles to the highest OEM standards while safeguarding customer assets and maintaining an organised workshop environment.

The role requires Level 3 qualification, strong diagnostic skills, and experience in a main dealer or VAG brand setting, with a full UK license. Training and development opportunities are provided within Vindis’ extensive resources.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diagnostic Technician or equivalent is required.
• Experience with diagnostics, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex faults using Audi systems.
• Perform high-level repairs and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Mentor junior technicians and support service team.
• Maintain accurate electronic service records and workshop standards.
• Contribute to workshop efficiency and team performance.

About the Role:

As an Audi Diagnostic Technician, you will be an integral member of the Aftersales Team, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest manufacturer and industry standards. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical workmanship while safeguarding customer vehicles and maintaining an organised and compliant workshop environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and resolving complex faults using advanced Audi systems.
• Carrying out high-level repairs and maintenance to manufacturer and Company standards.
• Supporting and mentoring junior technicians.
• Working effectively with the Service team to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining accurate and complete electronic service records.
• Contributing positively to workshop efficiency and team performance.
• Maintaining exemplary standards of housekeeping within your working area.
• Level 3 Qualified (IMI or equivalent) Diagnostic Technician
• Relevant experience with diagnostics, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Highly motivated to consistently achieve individual and team targets
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of workmanship
• Full UK driving licence
• Previous experience working within a main dealer workshop / for a VAG Brand
