Job summary

A leading automotive services company in Bedford is seeking an experienced Vehicle Master Technician to join their workshop. You will diagnose complex vehicle issues, perform various repairs, and ideally hold a Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £42,000 and excellent benefits including a staff car scheme and training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must have Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex vehicle failures to manufacturer standards.
  • Perform Cambelt, Clutch, Gearbox & Engine repairs.
  • Conduct electrical diagnostics and mechanic warranty repairs.

Our Client

Our client, a busy manufacturer-owned franchised dealership in Bedford, requires an experienced Vehicle Diagnostic Technician to join their established workshop team. Vehicle Technicians - Mechanics returning to the motor trade are most welcome.

Diagnostic Technician Responsibilities

As a Diagnostic Technician, responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing complex vehicle failures and rectification to Manufacturer Standards
  • Cambelt, Clutch, Gearbox & Engine Repairs/Replacements
  • Electrical & Mechanical Diagnostics
  • Mechanic Warranty Repairs
  • Carry out MOT Tester to DVSA standards (if qualified)
Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance
  • Manufacturer Accreditation as a Diagnostic Technician
  • 2 years Post Apprenticeship Experience
  • Full and clean UK Driving Licence

Desirable Requirements:

  • Class 4 MOT Licence
  • Manufacturer Accreditations
  • MOT Licence (Class 4 & 7)
Remuneration & Benefits

Basic Salary of up to £42,000 DOE
On Target Earnings of £52,000
45 hours per week, including 1 in 2 Saturday mornings.
