Job summary

Circle Health Group at The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join the Imaging department. This full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week role offers a permanent position with a flexible shift pattern and a salary up to £26,061 per year, depending on experience, training and qualification.

You will be part of the imaging team, delivering patient-centred care under supervision of a Registered Practitioner, and adhere to NMC/HCPC standards while pursuing professional

Qualifications

• Previous imaging or healthcare assistant experience.
• Experience in customer care, including challenging situations.
• Care Certificate.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 (Healthcare) or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 (Healthcare) or equivalent.
• GCSE Maths/English A-C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the imaging team providing patient-centred care.
• Support the multidisciplinary team to deliver care and service satisfaction.
• Act within professional standards per NMC/HCPC codes.
• Demonstrate competence within Imaging Assistant scope.
• Collaborate with the team to provide safe, high-quality care.
• Complete mandatory training as required.

Diagnostic Imaging Assistant

Location: The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle

Hours & contract: 37.5 Hours & Permanent

Salary: Up to £26,061.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join their team of staff in the Imaging department.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

• You work as an integral part of the imaging team, providing a high standard of patient‑centred care, meeting the needs of patients, consultants and colleagues.
• You work within the multi-disciplinary team to deliver care, maintain and enhance the customer service and satisfaction of service users under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
• You conduct yourself professionally within the HCA/ Imaging Assistants standard framework, understanding the standards in accordance with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) Codes of professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• You demonstrate competence in the role of Imaging Assistant within the scope of your working areas.
• You work alongside multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and high‑quality care provision for patients.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

• Previous experience in an Imaging or Healthcare Assistant role.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
• Care Certificate.
• NVQ Level 1 and/or be willing to work towards NVQ Level 2 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
