Job summary

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust in Wakefield is offering a Band 6 to Band 7 development post for HCPC-registered podiatrists. You will gain advanced diabetes foot care skills and work within the Diabetes Podiatry Service across two centres, with a defined progression pathway to a permanent Band 7.

You will be supported with mentorship, supervised development, and access to Non-Medical Prescribing qualifications, enabling autonomous practice in due course.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration with post-registration experience.
• Experience in assessment and treatment of at-risk foot.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage a varied caseload.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and career progression.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced podiatry skills within the diabetes service.
• Progress to autonomous clinics within the Diabetes Centre on successful competencies.
• Work across community clinics, GP practices, domiciliary visits and hospital settings.
• Contribute to the MDT diabetes service and patient outcomes.
